russcolson's Journal

I live with my wife Mary on a farmstead in northern Minnesota far enough from city lights to see the Milky Way and the Northern Lights. I teach planetary science, meteorology, and geology at Minnesota State University Moorhead. I've worked at the Johnson Space Center in Texas and at Washington University in St. Louis where, among other things, I studied how a lunar colony might mine oxygen from the local rock. I write a variety of speculative fiction tales, some of which are listed on my "writing" web page at http://www.mnstate.edu/colson/writing%20science%20fiction.htm.
